A transaction alert is an alert that is issued when a specified type of transaction is performed for a specified account. The alert may be further qualified by specifying a dollar amount. You can perform the following tasks when working with transaction alerts:
When adding a transaction alert, you must specify the type of transaction you want an alert issued for (this may also be set to send alerts for all transactions), a dollar amount for the transaction, and the account for which the transactions will be monitored.
Select a transaction type that will cause an alert to be issued.
The criteria and dollar value determine when an alert needs to be issued for a particular transaction. Click the criteria you want satisfied for the alert to be issued. Choose one of the following:
Any Amount– an alert is issued when the selected transaction type is performed, regardless of the dollar value.
More Than– an alert is issued if the selected transaction type is performed and the dollar value of that transaction is more than the specified amount.
Less Than – an alert is issued if the selected transaction type is performed and the dollar value of that transaction is less than the specified amount.
Exactly – an alert is issued if the selected transaction type is performed and the dollar value of that transaction is exactly the specified amount.
Type a dollar value in the box beside the More Than, Less Than, or Exact criteria. Note that you do not enter a value for Any Amount because an alert is issued regardless of the transaction's dollar value.
Select the account to be monitored for the selected transaction type. Select an account from the Occurs On account list.
Click the radio button to choose how often you want to be notified of an alert condition. This can be either one time only, in which case you only receive one alert regardless of how long the alert condition is present, or once per day, in which case you are sent one alert per day, for each day that the alert condition is present.
Click Save. The new alert is shown in the Current Transaction Alerts list.
You can edit an existing transaction alert to change the transaction type, account or alert criteria that determine when an alert is issued.
Click the Edit icon beside the alert in the Current Transaction Alerts list. The information for that transaction alert appears in the Add/Edit Alerts: Transaction Alertarea of the page.
